Extract from the letter from the Royal Humane Society

of the 23rd December, 1910.

Sir,

I am directed to forward the undermentioned awards from

this Society:-

Bronze Medals and Certificates to Mr David Sutherland,

and Mr. Edward Wild, for their gallant exertions and attempts

to render help at sea in the hailam. Straits on the 29th

September, 1910 in the rescue of the crew of the S.S. "Lydia".
